Welcome to Blue Mountain Hideaway, the perfect escape for family and friends! Located just off of Ski Run Road, this would be the perfect place to stay for a vacation of skiing or snow fun at Winter Park. This three level cabin boasts incredible views and provides three bedrooms and two baths. It is adorned with antique furniture and beautiful touches throughout, making you feel right at home during your stay! The large deck provides comfortable seating and a large propane grill for outdoor relaxing or dining. It has an open living room and dining area, perfect for getting together. The upper level of the home is a large sleeping area with three beds and a sliding glass door leading out to its own balcony. The lower level has an office with a sitting area, full second bathroom and garage available for guest use. This home also has easy exterior access entry with ramps leading up to each entrance. Blue Mountain Hideaway is also one of the few pet friendly properties available, allowing 1-2 dogs to join you on your vacation! This home does not have cable TV, however there is internet and smart televisions for your streaming services. Blue Mountain now has Central A/C as of 9/18/22 and a half bath in the upper level sleeping area. Home has a regular drip coffee maker.
Please note: This home is K9 friendly and we do require a $50.00 (plus tax) pet fee per pet. Please contact us if you are bringing your K-9 so that it can be coordinated correctly.
Ruidoso, Alto, and surrounding areas: Submerse yourself within the towering pines of Lincoln County and watch local wildlife such as elk, deer, wild horses, turkey, birds and more in their natural habitats. Plan a day basking in the stillness of our national forest while hiking, biking or fishing, golfing at one of our multiple golf courses or spend a fun night out on the town at one of the area’s local attractions! You'll be happy you took a respite from the concrete jungle. Please read! Our cabins include basic cable or satellite television, basic cooking utensils, propane gas grill (propane provided), washer and dryer (if applicable- please look at the amenities), towels and bed linens for guest use along with heating for winter. Our homes come equipped with either a drip or Keurig coffee maker. *Linens and bath towels *Extra blankets and bedding *Spa towels for properties with spas/hot tubs. While our kitchens are fully equipped with glassware/cookware/utensils/dishes, etc. this does not ensure that all homes will have a blender, crock pot, spices, coffee, or condiments. Please call ahead to confirm if items such as these are available. If not, we ask that you bring your own. Basic toiletries in the Master bathroom only are: *One (1) travel sized each of shampoo, conditioner, lotion, disposable toothbrush, toothpaste, bar soap, and facial bar soap, *three (3) rolls of toilet paper; one (1) on holder and two (2) stored in bathroom. Basic toiletries in all additional bathrooms (if applicable) are: *three (3) rolls of toilet paper; one (1) on holder and two (2) stored in bathroom, *one (1) travel sized bar soap and/or facial soap, *one (1) hairdryer in the home. Basic supplies in the home: *five (5) All-Clear laundry pods, *dish detergent in pod or liquid form (quantities may vary and/or be limited) and three (3) Lemi Shine rinse agent in single use cups (for homes with dishwashers), *liquid dish soap in (at minimum) a partial container (may only be in homes without dishwashers- check amenities to ensure the home you booked has a dishwasher), *two to three (2-3) rolls of paper towels, *two (2) trash liners in each waste basket; one (1) prepared in basket and at least one (1) in the bottom or under sink. We encourage guests to please be mindful of the supplies we provide and always bring extras as housekeeping does not deliver more than what is required to be left in the homes. We highly encourage guests to be prepared with access to chains and/or 4-wheel drive in winter months. Firewood is not provided for homes with wood burning fireplaces.

The beds were comfortable. Plenty of room for a family of 5. All in all, we enjoyed our vacation at the Blue Mountain Hideaway very much.

This cabin is very close to the Winter park for tubing which was very fun (5 minutes) and near the road to the Apache ski resort (30 minutes). The cabin was well equipped and it had a nice homey feeling.

The view is amazing, we got to see several deer in the mornings because of the apple tree that sits close by. Plenty of heaters and extra fans for added comfort and umbrellas came in handy with all the rain while we were there! Loved our stay and will definitely be back.

We were far enough out to feel like we were in an adventure but also close enough to Ruidoso that it was convenient to go do things. We will definitely return to Hummingbird cabins the next time we are in the area
